Resources Online and in the Community

The East Los Angeles Community Service Centeris a multi-purpose facility designed to enhance the community with health, educational, social and recreational activities. Center staff network with other county departments and non-profit agencies to provide comprehensive information and referrals, form completion assistance, translation services, income tax assistance, dance classes, flu and rabies vaccination clinics.

The Beacon Network Connect (TBNConnect) is an interactive website with up-to-date information about over 200 government and nonprofit programs, services, and activities located in Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles. The website uses the information you provide to match you with programs and services that fit your needs and characteristics. It was specifically designed for youth ages, 13 - 25, however other age groups may benefit from its use.

AltaMed’s youth programsprovide teens with health information and education with the goal of decreasing the number of teenage pregnancies and improving health outcomes. Our programs are designed to help teen mothers and their partners understand the health, social and economic challenges of having a child at a young age. In addition to health education, we provide parenting education and support for continued educational advancement.

Archdiocesan Youth Employment ServicesOur mission is to provide young people with job training, education, and counseling so that they become self-sufficient and productive.  Our goal is to alleviate some of the serious problems facing youth, such as high school dropout, illiteracy, crime, and unemployment. We strive to achieve this through partnerships with employers, community organizations, and local educational agencies to leverage limited resources and impart greater value to the community at large and the young people we serve.
